The Canary islands have it all.  In Tenerife you can take a cable car to the top of the imposing Mount Teide situated in its own national park.  Visit the glorious beaches and sand dunes of Gran Canaria and pop to the capital Las Palmas to make sure you get your culture fix.  Lanzarote is a very popular island with the must see Timanfaya National Park, a huge area of dormant volcanoes.  Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary islands and is a beach lovers paradise.  Famed for its golden sand dunes in the Corralego National Park, it is also a great windsurfing spot and is the location for many windsurfing competitions.  There are more islands still waiting to be explored like the relaxed and quiet La Gomera and La Palma.
